As fotos que se seguem foram tiradas numas férias passadas no Alentejo, na primavera de 2008. O tratamento que eu fiz na altura é um pouco brusco, mas mesmo assim, eu adoro olhar para elas.

The following set was taken during a vacation in Alentejo (south of Portugal), in the Spring of '08. The treatment I did at the time is a little bit harsh, but I love looking at them anyway.

A minha família tem uma casa de praia numa aldeia de pescadores não muito longe do Porto; é um lugar que eu adoro, cheio de paisagens românticas e de grandes oportunidades para tirar fotos. Esta semana tive que passar lá uma tarde, e aproveitei para tirar algumas fotografias.

Eu adoro andar sem destino naquelas ruas, faz-me sentir que pertenço ali. É uma vila mínima, tão pequenina, e eu tenho a mais perfeita noção de que ninguém me conhece (não passo lá muito tempo), mas ainda assim sinto-me bem-vinda ali.

My family owns a beach house in a fishing village, not too far away from our usual home; it's a place I love, with romantic views and great chances for photos. I spent an afternoon there, this week, and thought I should take some photos.

I love wandering aimlessly through those streets, it makes me feel like I belong there. It's such a small village, and I am well aware of the fact that nobody knows me (I don't spend much time there) but still, I feel welcome in that place.
